Our Town, Our Heroes

History lauds them. Statues commemorate them. Countries celebrate them. Performers sing about them. And you probably know some. HEROES.

Introducing the 2012 Our Town, Our Heroes program, where we celebrate the local heroes who inspire you and drive positive change in your community. We will feature a new Illinois hometown hero every month through November here on DrivingtheMidwest.com. Every month, we will select finalists and showcase them on our site. Then YOU will choose the winner by voting for your favorite hero and helping share his or her story!

Grand Prize (1 per entry period): One-week loan of a Chevrolet, Buick, GMC or Cadillac vehicle and a $500 gift card awarded to the hero with the most votes at the end of their designated round

First Prize (3 per entry period): A one-week loan of a Chevrolet, Buick, GMC or Cadillac vehicle
Awarded to:

• The nominator of the winning hero entry that receives the most votes
• The hero and nominator that gets the second highest number of votes
